A dazzling spectacle set amid India’s bustling film industry, Bombay Dreams features a lush score, glittering costumes, and exotic dance numbers.

The story of a handsome young boy from the slums of Bombay who dreams of fame and romance, the musical journey is an exploration of the importance of cultural heritage, the price of success, the bonds of friendship and the power of true love.

Time Magazine declares the show “Something gorgeously new” and The New York Times calls it a “Feel-good fantasy!”

Bombay Dreams features Music by A. R. Rahman, Lyrics by Don Black, Book by Meera Syal and Thomas Meehan, and was based on an idea by Shekhar Kapur and Andrew Lloyd Webber.

The show premiered in London’s West End in 2002 and followed with a Broadway run in 2004.
